Kwani Abigail Lunis is a New Jersey native of Haitian descent living in Boston, Massachusetts. A Boston College Alumna, she earned a degree in Communications and is an Edward R. Morrow award-winning journalist.
She is a producer/ host of The Hub Today and ‘Kwani has Questions’ on NBC10 Boston. Additionally, Kwani is a co-host of the “Big 3 NBA Podcast on the CLNS Media Network.
Her most important role of all? The queen of dad jokes.
Kwani’s first, full-time position in media was as a production assistant for NBC Sports Boston (formerly Comcast Sportsnet New England). She would become the social media coordinator and a correspondent on the Emmy Award-winning football show Quick Slants. In 2020, she moved to the news side as the social media producer for NBC10 Boston/NECN.
During the 2016-17 football season, she served as the Boston College team reporter gathering unique interviews with players and coaches weekly. In December 2015, she completed a six-month apprenticeship at WBZ-TV, Boston’s CBS affiliate. This full-time experience provided a rare opportunity to learn from producers and reporters in DMA #8 while gaining invaluable experience.
While at Boston College she wrote for the university’s SB Nation page, “BC Interruption.” Kwani was also a member of Boston College television’s sports show, The Talon, and the University’s sports radio station, WZBC 90.3. A pivotal moment during her time in Chestnut Hill, Mass., was managing the women’s basketball team. She had the opportunity to gain behind-the-scenes insight into the world of Division I athletics while also earning a varsity letter.
In the fall of 2014, she worked at the New England Sports Network as a remote production intern for the Boston Bruins. During the summer of 2014, she broke into the world of sports media by interning at WEEI 93.7 Sports Radio Boston for the “Dennis and Callahan” morning show.
